John Deere Credit in Johnston, IA is seeking an Administrative Assistant to perform a full range of administrative support duties of a confidential and challenging nature. This position will support the Sr. management team of John Deere Risk Protection. In this position, you will: Receives and refers visitors and telephone callers within the department, ensuring that callers reach their intended destination. Schedules meetings, coordinates travel arrangements, and maintains appointment calendars on behalf of department managers or supervisors; may coordinate meeting amenities (i.e. refreshments, etc.). Facilitates and organizes workflow through the supervisor's office, ensuring that all items requiring follow up action are addressed by the supervisor. Produces complex reports, correspondence, and presentations utilizing sensitive or confidential company information. Develops and maintains more complex web sites with the assistance of basic web publishing software applications. Creates and maintains sensitive department records; uses data to prepare letters and memoranda for supervisor's signature. Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers that do not require the supervisor's attention. Refers complex or highly sensitive issues to the supervisor. Mentors less experienced peers or delegates work to others. Conveys supervisor's instructions and requirements to others, and exchanges information with senior managers on the supervisor's behalf. Processes monthly accounts payable invoices for the department (i.e. cellular telephone, office equipment). Education Degree in Admin/Clerical discipline or equivalent experience. Miscellaneous degree or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Data entry/keyboarding skills. Knowledge of how to operate standard office equipment (examples: photocopier, fax machine, telephone). Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions. Skill in planning and organizing. Desired Skills and Experience Secretarial or Administrative Assistant experience. Experience maintaining confidential data. *Relocation benefits are not provided for this position.
