Description:

Benefits Specialist
Pay: $35-40k/year (DOE) experience
Location: Downtown Dallas

Responsibilities
- Process and pay benefits plans for – 6 insurance plans on a monthly basis
(Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Additional Life, and MGIS)
- Answer employee questions or problems
- File paperwork for benefits
- Order supplies regarding benefits materials
- Work w/ benefit vendors regarding employee questions or problems w/ benefits
- Enter all benefits online w/ vendors
- Enter all benefits into HR system
- At open enrollment time (in April) create and distribute to all employees memos regarding changes for the year, and set up all vendors visits for open enrollment.
- Work w/ payroll regarding deductions regarding benefits, also work w/ payroll regarding reconciliation between HR and payroll.
- Work w/ vendors and HR system to create link between two systems
- Online open enrollment (this is a BIG ONE)

Requirements
- Bachelors degree preferred or associated degree
- 2-3 years of benefits experience for at least a 500-1000 employees plus firm
- Computer software, Outlook, Microsoft applications (mainly excel). HR office is preferred software, but not required.
- Friendly, easy-going, do what it takes to get the job done, patient.
