Description:Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Human Resources Location: Greenville, SC, SC Job #: 817127 Posted: Jul 25, 2008 Responsibilities *Provide HR leadership and strategic direction to Energy Engineering Division GMs and Managers. Client responsibility will include ~450 global engineering employees. *Partner with leadership team to drive strategic and operational HR processes such as organization design, Session C, compensation planning, employee development, performance management, engagement projects and retention efforts for the 8,000+ global engineering team. *Manage employee Ombuds and compliance investigations. *Initiate new and innovative global HR practices to create a strong culture of leaders and high performing teams. *Lead onsite orientation and New Manager Assimilation processes. *Instill a strong engineering culture focused on growth and technical depth through proactive training on relevant topics for employees and managers. Qualifications *BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Industrial Relations, or other HR related discipline. *Minimum of 8 years experience as an HR Generalist. Eligibility Requirement: *Periodic travel required. Desired *HRLP Graduate preferred. *Masters degree in related field. *Black Belt certified (GE employees only). *Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work well in teams and matrixed organizations. *Strong analytical skills, project management and process skills. *Excellent verbal & written communication skills. *Engineering or Technology industry experience. *Global HR experience. *Change agent with strong facilitation skills. *Proven skill in coaching and counseling managers and employees. *Green Belt certified (GE employees only).
