The School Education Group, a division of McGraw-Hill Education, has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager in Columbus, OH.



Responsibilities:

Provide coaching and training that proactively address employee relation issues, legal issues, recruitment processes, including interview training, performance management, and civil treatment programs. Results will provide leaders with skills necessary to develop employees at all levels.
Provide development activities that will enhance their professional development. Assist in the management and execution of business continuity plans.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure the company is sourcing and hiring highly qualified, diverse candidates and to gain efficiencies with available internal/external resources.
Assist in evaluation and execution of effective rewards & recognition programs through participation in salary surveys, administering compensation programs.

Required:

Bachelors Degree in human resources or related field; Masters preferred.
A minimum of 5 years progressive human resources experience.
Demonstrated business consulting and problem resolution skills.
A minimum of 2 years recruitment and/or staffing experience in a professional fast paced environment. Industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment processes, and recruitment strategies.
Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills essential.
Must be proficient at web-based research and PC skills, including all Microsoft Office products.
Ability to be a strong team player.
Must be able to think strategically.
Understanding of human resource law and regulation.
Ability to travel approximately 15%.
