QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a plant/manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience with employee relations issues, including performance, attendance, and discipline.
* Strong experience coaching managers on HR practices.
* Willingness to travel periodically to all North American Chemical sites, and routinely among the 3 Texas sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic business partner for the North American Chemical COE sites providing HR leadership for Chemical plants within the GE Water & Process Technologies Supply Chain organization, consisting of 1 Canadian and 6 US locations. Provide day-to-day support for Texas-based W&PT facilities in Beaumont, Orange and Baytown, Texas.

* Lead, refine and continuously improve key HR processes across all assigned sites, including, but not limited to, selection and staffing, career development and training, employee engagement, performance management, salary planning, dispute resolution and employee relations.
* Partner with Chemical COE Leaders and plant management to facilitate achievement of plant performance objectives through positive employee relations.
* Consult with employees and managers to lead and drive change initiatives via employee involvement and communication.
* Coach managers to facilitate development of strong leaders and facilitate the development of high performing teams.
* Develop and implement innovative employee practices through employee advocacy, needs assessments, employee roundtable discussions, and GE Opinion Surveys.
* Serve as a member of the Supply Chain HR team and manage special projects for the Supply Chain as needed.

DESIRED:
* Masters degree in HR or related field.
* HRLP graduate (GE Employee's Only).
* Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE Employee's Only).
