Job Overview: Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources/Organizational Development, this person will develop and implement ATMI's Total Rewards Program. This individual will function as an internal compensation expert and consultant, working closely with internal HR staff members and externally with our client groups, providing both real-time and strategic compensation solutions and tailoring these solutions to the unique needs of each group. The Total Rewards Manager will have responsibility for the analysis, design, implementation and administration of global compensation plans. The emphasis will be to create appropriate offerings in all aspects of the compensation function which complement the company's focus on A-Player philosophy, and continuously help build competitive advantage for the business. The successful candidate will also have responsibility for the benefits programs design and delivery. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for what they do, have a high performance orientation, take ownership for their work, are extremely customer oriented and have excellent problem-solving and follow-through skills. We call it the right HR “DNA.” Primary Responsibilities: · Advise business partners and HR peers on recommendations that are well thought-out and fact-based and able to meet the strategic compensation objectives; · Developing compensation systems, philosophies and pay practices so they are implemented effectively and efficiently across the global organization; · Developing an effective communication approach to ensure that the compensation and benefits programs are fully understood and appropriately valued by employees, managers and work with the VP of HR to deliver proposals to the Operating Committee; · Managing salary administration, incentive/bonus/equity administration, Stock Purchase Plans, Benefits, etc.; · Acting as an internal consultant on all compensation and benefit related matters; · Assessing and leveraging technology to ensure that risk and compliance is well poised for the company's growth globally; · Assessing the methodology of delivering compensation and benefits to its employees, e.g. use and reliance on consultants/vendors; · Developing salary budgets, conducting job evaluations, participating in and analyzing data from salary surveys, developing compensation policies and procedures and administering bonus programs; · Identifying opportunities and solutions to improve compensation processes, including evaluating and recommending the best external service providers, preparing and analyzing regular management and audit reports, and ensuring the integrity of the compensation data in the HRM system; · Streamline processes with Stock Administration, Payroll and Finance as needed on stock grants, payroll information and bonus calculations; Education/Experience: · Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, finance, or other related field and 6+ years of progressive compensation experience, preferably in the high tech or semiconductor industries; · A CCP designation is desirable; · The qualified candidate will have demonstrated expertise in compensation theory and practices and experience designing (or re-designing) complex base pay and bonus plans, as well as extensive experience implementing and managing the administration of compensation plans for mid-to-large sized companies; · Must have excellent analytical, project management, organizational and computer skills (MS Office) and have expert knowledge and experience working with complex spreadsheets, HRM systems and third-party vendor programs; · Effective communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, and be able to form relationships and work collaboratively with all levels; · Ability to provide ideas and input while listening and incorporating input from others, as well as, articulating and explaining, and sometimes simplifying, what can be complex compensation concepts.
