Bell Micro is one of the world’s largest and fastest growing storage-centric value-added distributorsPAYROLL FUNCTION: Manages the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing of hourly, non-exempt and exempt payrolls following federal and state regulations. Develop and establish procedures to accomplish payroll processing, internal controls and maintenance of the payroll database.Depending on the needs of the business and/or department, may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue. Implements changes that promote payroll process efficiencies, support company initiatives, and improve Payroll accuracy. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Supervise payroll; schedule staff duties... • Maintain payroll guidelines to ensure adequate internal controls and compliance with corporate policies. • Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislations, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management of changes. • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed. • Work with team on worker’s compensation, unemployment and financial audits. • Establish and maintain accurate accrued payroll records in compliance with company policy.
