Description:The Association of American Medical Colleges, representing the nation's medical schools, teaching hospitals, and related professional societies, is seeking a Research Specialist. The person in this position will be a part of a team that maintains and updates a variety of compensation surveys. The major responsibilities of the position include producing the annual publications Report on Medical School Faculty Salaries and Report on the Compensation of Medical School Deans.Candidates should have at least five years of experience in collecting, verifying, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data from large-scale survey programs. No more than two years of this experience may be demonstrated through graduate courses, teaching assistantships, research assistantships, or related activities. A master's degree is required. Working knowledge of computer/database programming (SQL and PL/SQL) and of Microsoft applications (Excel and Word) is required. Attention to details and good analytical skills are essential.
